[Taxacom] Catalogue of life distribution abbreviations

Hi all

Just wondering how widely used the TDWG Geographic Region standard is, and how useful people find it?

Bringing order to the chaos of site recording in historical biological collections is never going to be straightforward, and I would welcome any comments on what standards are available and how effective they may be.

Thanks, Mike

As if Catalogue of Life or Kew did not have the screen real estate to display the actual names for users.

Afghanistan, Pakistan, West Himalaya, etc, or the subdivisions thereof if any.

Silly, silly, historic relic, obfuscating, timewasting practice as just demonstrated.

Geoff
