That's a stretch.

Maybe so, but that's a link that some have made. And there's nothing
necessarily wrong in expressing that view if there is some kind of evidence
based argument in support. The converse association has been made, for
example, between center or origin biogeography and Garden of Eden types of
theology.

Point here is that it can be problematic to disparage creationists in a way
that might not also apply to at least some evolutionists.
