Exact same arguments? Can you (or anyone else on Taxacom) help me out
then, and give me a reference from the murky past of 1975-85 discussing
my suggestion that maximum parsimony should be used for a model
including both budding evolution and pseudoextinction (determined by
nonphylogenetically informamtive informations)? 

Or that ancestral species may have generated molecular strains before or
after one or two or more speciation events generating daughter species?
Exact same arguments?

I'd really like to read the answers "we" decided on that support today's
software that requires all evolution to be pseudoextinction to work,
when it is clear that pseudoextinction is rare and therefore many
cladistic divergence events are imaginary when applied to taxa,
stochastically determined, certainly at the species level, and, given
paraphyly at high ranks, among higher taxa as well.

Regarding revolution, I've devoted some pages in my book to the subject.
Orthodoxy? No, I don't mention Lysenko. I promised myself I would never
mention Lysenko in these kinds of arguments. Although, of course,
Lysenko is in some ways ... nah, let's not mention Lysenko.  :)

Do note, I am not saying you are wrong, just that these exact same
arguments have happened before, in the 1975-1985 period of systematic
revolution.  You can take comfort that everyone who proposes to overturn
orthodoxy is ridiculed at first.  Who knows? You might be one of those?
