[Taxacom] New species of the future

Speaking as someone who has spent a decent part of his career pushing the
boundaries of traditional limits for species exploration and discovery, I
applaud Pensoft for pushing the envelope in this case. Maybe it's the
future, maybe it's not. But someone should be exploring the frontier (we
need much more of this in our increasingly placid and conformist society).
I don't know how much the CT scan and sequencing "slowed down" the
publication, but I bet BDJ still turned it around faster than most
traditional journals would have.

By the way, we had similar CT scans done (via DigiMorph) for Chromis abyssus
and C. degruyi, back when we described them in 2008. I just checked the
ZooBank records (http://zoobank.org/8BDC0735-FEA4-4298-83FA-D04F67C3FBEC,
and http://zoobank.org/1859B68B-340C-44F9-BEAB-D75BAED300F2, respectively)
and am delighted to see that the links to DigiMorph are still working just
fine.

Aloha,
Rich
