[Taxacom] completely stumped in southern British Columbia

Just to put this one to bed - have a look at
http://www.nhm.ac.uk/natureplus/thread/2110 . There's a couple of pleopods
in the middle of the photos showing all the features of the mystery object.
Baleen does not have this annulated structure. And 3cm is about the right
size for a large crab pleopod (I'm guessing there are large crabs in BC
...?)
