[Taxacom] Wikipedia politics: the future don't look so bright

I am talking Wikipedia here, not Wikispecies. FYI, there are bunches of Wikipedia editors conspiring to obtain absolute control over content. They are also not at all happy about the fact that Wikispecies is way ahead of them in biodiversity stuff, and are lobbying (hopefully unsuccessfully) to get it shut down. Our old "friend" Stemonitis actually seems something of a moderate compared to these others! This quote, from a policy discussion on content, really says it all: 
 
[Quote]A primary source may only be used on Wikipedia to make straightforward, descriptive statements of facts that can be verified by any educated person with access to the source but without further, specialized knowledge[Unquote]
 
An example of a primary source would be an original description, or taxonomic revision, or phylogenetic analysis ... in fact, any scientific paper that isn't a review article!
