[Taxacom] prolific species describers

Just to steal a minute amount of your thunder, a web facility has been provided in IRMNG to do this (at genus level at least) for authors for some time - example:

http://www.marine.csiro.au/mirrorsearch/ir_search.go?searchtxt=Walker&hlevel=author (all groups)
http://www.marine.csiro.au/mirrorsearch/ir_search.go?searchtxt=Walker&hlevel=author&groupchoice=mam (same search restricted to mammals)

which in addition, shows what I currently have recorded with regard to original publication info, present taxonomic placement, synonymy and so on. - although a database-level query is still currently required to generate the top 10 or whatever, sorry...

The web form to do these queries is at http://www.cmar.csiro.au/datacentre/irmng/, enter a surname optionally with year - optional taxonomic filters are in the drop-down list- then press "author search (genus level)".

In my current system authors with the same surname are presently conflated in this query result (could be different) also the results are sorted by year then alphabetic (with a few non-standard forms at the end). Chronologically non-overlapping authors with the same surname will be distinguished on this basis, to a degree... At present I do not have the same facility for species but could construct one on request.

One could think of this as my "desktop GNUB" really - to be deprecated once something better is available in GNA-land (hence the "Interim" word in the title IRMNG...), so I await delivery of more and better GN* tools with interest (as you know).
