Thanks James, but this seems unlikely, as, some extra information I didn't tell you, is that the insect is only supposed to be about 2mm long!
It seems that different people can interpret it as just about any order of insect: Hemiptera, Coleoptera, Diptera, Hymenoptera, Lepidoptera, Thysanoptera, ...

Folks,

        Not sure about the white "things", but this insect is a moth of some kind (in the Erebidae: Arctiinae), just in case anyone cares.
