PS: If current trends continue, it will take a lot longer than 1000 years to name all of earth's biodiversity! For example, there must be about 1000 known undescribed N.Z. beetle species in collections, of which 2 new species have so far been described in 2012! But perhaps you don't wanna talk about that ...
