To be more exact: the option to use Asteraceae (and the like) is formally
allowed since the 1930 Congress / the 1935, Cambridge Code. No real 
change since then.

P.S. A quick search of IPNI shows no names for new taxa published
with "advenus", just combinations based on basionyms that used 
"advena".
