Dear colleagues

I indicated last week that Dr Nick King, the Executive Secretary of
GBIF has announced that he is leaving GBIF at the end of the year.

The Executive Committee has now commenced the search process for a new
ES. Please find attached the advertisement for the role. Please
distribute this information widely among your networks to ensure that
we attract a strong field of suitable candidates.

The link on our website is:

The position will be advertised in Science on 27 May and in Nature
executive section on 2 June.

If you have any comments on the position description and any other
aspect of the role, please feel free to contact me or other members of
the Executive committee
