Along this line of thought, wasn't one of the early hominids, Proconsul (?)
named with the intent of being malicious?

That could be fun! Lots of scope for a new genus and species, like 
Johnsmithius
microphallus, or J. imbecilicus, or J. tossa,etc. (no offence to anyone on 
the
list who may be called John Smith!)

Maybe you can also name one in full for Lamarck-
Xus jeanbaptistepierreantoinedemonetdelamarcki

It is also prudent to check the meaning of names before combining them
with an honorific-the bivalve Meretrix lamarcki is not exactly a
compliment.
