Right, digest mode is helpful, but still difficult to digest, if you ask
me.

There, I would kindly disagree. You'll have to scan the TOC, then search
for the title / author of the respective post and, when trying to follow
a discussion, sometimes scroll through a leaden desert of top-posting
style copy-all replies.

Back in the old days of USENET groups, there would have been a posting
guide. And a moderator who kindly reminded posters off list that there
are such things a a posting guide, and common sense. Ok, on the other
hand, flamewars mamed a lot of innocent susceptible souls, back in them
old days. Wouldn't want that back.

Oh, by the way: there WAS some statistics on this list, there is
something like a bias in postings, don't you agree? I personally know at
least a couple of subscribers of this list who just read it for
amusement, not for following latests scientific discussions about
taxonomy, neither of a certain group nor taxonomy in general.
Makes me think... :-D
