You make it out such that there are no "Centres of Origin or Dispersal".
Well, sorry to rain on your parade, but here in Canada we have a
number of places that are post-Wisconsinan Centres of Dispersal
from areas that were either absolute refugia, or wandering refugia.
These have been well documented by Hulten and other botanists,
and by Surficial Geologists (Canadian), and by others such as me.

For example, there are species of spiders, insects and plants at
the northern end of Ellesmere Island and Pearyland (northern
Greenland) that are not found far from the refugial dispersal
centre. That is, they are still found ONLY in the Canadian and
Greenland High Arctic.
