You are absolutely right. Under the new code we are systematically expunging
all reference to plants and botany in deference to the diversity of groups
covered by the 'The Code Previously Known as ICBN'.

I hereby propose, from the floor, the following advice to Ed.Comm.:

"globally replace all reference to 'botanist' with 'organismist'."

Yep, that ought to do it... :)
