Actually, it will be illuminative if I add something. We have a maillist
called "sistematikbotanik" here in Turkey and about a month ago one of our
colleagues sent us an email. He said that he saw a group researchers from
Czech Republic in the field somewhere in Rize. He asked them whether they
had a permit for doing field trips here in Turkey and they answered that
they were just hiking there. But today he emailed us again and said the
group he saw was the group which got caught at the border.
