Adelaide Conference_
  * Preparations for the conference have entered a new phase, breaking
    records for expressions of interest from potential presenters. By the
    time submissions closed, _450 abstracts_ had been received from _57
    countries_, far surpassing levels of interest leading up to previous
    barcode conferences.
  * A first-glimpse agenda with speakers will be available _August 1_, but
    there's still plenty of ways to keep involved with the conference before
    then.
