Yes, if one looks at 'synapomorphy' as defined by the largest cluster of
corroborating character states. In this case the orangutans and humans
do clade together with morphogenetic characters and so the V formation
of humans and orangutans would presumably represent another synapomorphy
in that respect.

wouldn't that depend on the tree? if orangutans and humans clade
together then yes... if they don't then you have another homoplasy for
large bodied hominoids, or?
