[Taxacom] Paraphyletic species and paraphyletic higher taxa

A Besseyan cactus of course includes, however simplistically, a time axis (one taxon generating another) and both extant and extinct taxa (by implication when fossil taxa are included, see famous B. cactus of the horse group).

In fact, Darwin's figure is very different from a Besseyian cactus in the that the vertical axis is clearly delineated as the time axis, and the figure also attempts to depict both extinctions and extant lineages.
