Hi all again,

Here is the second of two open position announcements at Arkansas State University - Beebe.  This is for a replacement for me, as I am retiring after this academic year.

Steve Manning

Arkansas State University-Beebe seeks a tenure track basic Biology/Botany instructor.  This is a nine-month position beginning mid-August 2011.  Summer employment is available.  A PhD in Biology with college teaching experience is preferred.  A Master's in Biology (MS) degree with a minimum of 18 graduate hours of biology may be considered.  Rank will depend upon degree and teaching experience.  The faculty member will be required to teach Biology and Botany classes.  Saturday and/or evening classes may be required.  Experience teaching online classes would be beneficial.

Successful candidate must be willing to actively participate in academic advising and University committee work.  Candidate must possess good communication skills and be willing to work cooperatively with other entities of the campus in a learning-centered environment.
