15th Flora of Thailand Meeting, Chiang Mai, Thailand, 7-11 November 2011 
 
The Flora of Thailand, whose aim is to produce a complete floristic treatment of the vascular flora, was initiated in 1963 and made its first appearance in 1970 (Volume 2 part 1). The Flora of Thailand meeting is an important forum for the exchange of taxonomic ideas and new research findings on Thai botany. The meeting has now become a large international gathering of researchers, contributors and postgraduate students working on the systematics, ecology, biogeography, evolution and conservation of plants within Thailand and surrounding countries. 
 
The Flora of Thailand meeting is held every three years, alternating between Thailand and a collaborating country. The Forest Herbarium, and the Flora of Thailand Project Committee are pleased to welcome you to the 15th Flora of Thailand Meeting in Chiang Mai, Thailand. The meeting venue and other details will be announced in the second circular.
 
Programme and presentations: 
The meeting will take place between 7-11 November 2011. Participants are encouraged to give oral or poster presentations to share the latest information on their systematic studies on the Flora of Thailand. Talks on other disciplines relating to the biology of Thai plants are also welcome. The submission of a full title and an abstract via email will be required for both oral and poster presentations.
 
7 November: 	Arrival and registration. 
8 November: 	Registration, opening ceremony, keynote speech, plenary session, special topic and poster sessions, 						and welcome dinner. 
9 November: 	Plenary session, topic and poster sessions. 
10 November: 	One-day excursion to the mountains around Chiang Mai. 
11 November: 	Plenary session, and closing ceremony.
