[Taxacom] Monbiot editorial on academic publishing

Wolfgang,

Though asking an author does not always work. There are times when I have
written to authors, received no reply, and had to pay for access to a
paper and hope that my printer doesn't develop a temporary problem where
it cannot print the file before my access expires.

Also, with some journals, authors have to pay up front to make their paper
open access and available to all.
