I've started a "group" on Mendeley for obituaries and bibliographies
of taxonomists. For those of you who haven't come across Mendeley,
it's a free tool for managing bibliographies both on your desktop
(rather like EndNote), and on the web, where you can collaboratively
create lists of publications. For more details see http://www.mendeley.com/faq/

I've created the group http://www.mendeley.com/groups/627101/obituaries-and-bibliographies-of-taxonomists/
primarily to collect lists of authors' publications, which are very
useful for locating articles in the Biodiversity Heritage Library.
Obituaries can also be useful when editing Wikipedia pages about
taxonomists, and in distinguishing between authors with the same
initials or names.

The group is very small at present, but I hope to add to it as I come
across relevant articles.

If you use Mendeley to manage your references you can join this group
and easily add articles to this group (either by dragging and dropping
in the desktop version, or doing it online). If anybody has
suggestions of articles to add, but doesn't use Mendeley, please get
in touch and I can add them.

TAXACOM members may also be interested in the growing collection of
complete(ish) bibliographies for individual journals that I'm making
available at http://www.mendeley.com/groups/

Regards

Rod
