The distribution described conforms to a standard biogeographic range: Madagascar - South/East Asia/Australia, more or less encompassing some or all of the areas. Its such a classic that any student biogeographer should be able to immediately cite at least one other example (and no doubt those teaching bigoeography should be able to cite at least two).

I'm working on the genus Felisacus (Insecta:Heteroptera: Miridae:
Bryocorinae). This genus is distributed in Australasia, South Asia and
Madagaskar and I have limited material from some regions. Their size is
usually 3-5 mm, hemelytra (wings) is translucent, sometimes with dark brown
transverse stripes. Antennae elongated, first antennal segments is as long
as or longer than the head width. Head elongated with distinct "neck"
between eyes and pronotum. Another distinct feature of the genus is the
convex labium with the first and second segments very short. The most
specimens which I have was found feeding on ferns.
If you have some, please, let me know.
