I'm *not* surprised no one has brought up those things. GenBank has 
been public since 1982, and has not been taken down by any 
cyberterrorists yet. I'd be willing to bet that if you bothered to 
ask the people who run GenBank, they'd explain that they have a vast 
array of protective measures in place to shield the data NO MATTER 
WHAT. It's not like the IT people behind GenBank are fools - nor are 
the cyberterrorists, who would certainly have better targets to pick 
from. Or is that really what you believe?
