[Taxacom] Objective synonyms?

fair go mate... bringing the bioinformaticians into the debate is the
*only* way it can be solved... :)

bioinformaticians, in particular those struggling to combine botanical
and zoological (and other) nomenclators in pursuit of global harmony
and world peace in biodiversity data are the *only* ones who know what
is *really* going on.

they have analyzed the crap out the taxonomic process, they know where
all the bodies are buried and they know exactly who is and isn't doing
what, with which and to whom... and it is not a pretty sight... :)

(it turns out we are all doing more the same thing, we just emphasize
different aspects and document it differently... or so they tell
me...)

you were right first time - if you want to know how
nomenclature/taxonomy works, don't ask a taxonomist, because they are
wrong. :)

bioinformaticians of the world... c'mon down...
