[Taxacom] Objective synonyms?

I think there may be confusion if the status of the taxon is not clearly
defined.

There are numerous examples of different genera with same specific with
deflected (Chenopodium album, Rosa alba, Mallotus albus) or unchanged
epithet (Rosa indica, Lagerstroemia indica, Aesculus indica, etc.) which are
distinct taxa.

The second type would be where the names are homotypic synonyms (where again
the epithet may be unchanged or deflected: Polygonum chinense, Persicaria
chinensis; Abelmoschus esculentus, Hibiscus esculentus; Bistorta vivipara,
Persicaria vivipara, Polygonum viviparum)

This is situation at least in Botanical Nomenclature.
