*Shrug*  I did read it, but didn't have to get to the
acknowledgements to figure out who the influences were.  If you went
to certain places, you heard a lot of similar ranting about maximum
likelihood being "phenetics" from people who didn't understand how
it works and worshipped parsimony as the One True Method.  This
article just sounded like more of the same re-warmed week-old
halibut.
