The rendering speed is better, but the visual quality is still poor
due to the low contrast, at least on the ones I've downloaded.  On
the other hand, if they're derived from jp2 files it seems like it
would be simple to crank that up before pdf conversion without
redoing everything.

BTW, one gripe I had with IA was that where there was a Google Book
version, the link never worked.  It always went to GB itself, which
didn't have a link to the pdf.  But if you copied the .djvu link
from IA and replaced the extension with .pdf, that gave you the
file.  Weird.
