The Missouri Botanical Garden is one of the world's top botanical
research and conservation institutions.  In support of our mission,"To
discover and share knowledge about plants and their environment, in
order to preserve and enrich life" the Garden is a member of The
Biodiversity Heritage Library (BHL), the digitization component of the
Encyclopedia of Life, which is a consortium of 12 major natural history
museum libraries, botanical libraries, and research institutions
organized to digitize, serve, and preserve the legacy literature of
biodiversity.

Summary of the Position: 
The Sr. Project Coordinator, Informatics, will work with stakeholders
and other key staff to successfully plan, design and complete
grant-funded technology projects within the Center for Biodiversity
Informatics.  These projects are highly technical, including software
development tasks and high resolution digital imaging activities, and
scientific, as all projects are related to international sharing of
biodiversity data. A primary responsibility will be providing
coordination to the global Biodiversity Heritage Library consortium, as
well as other international consortia and projects.

This position is open for two years only and is dependent upon temporary
funding from grants or contracts. Extension beyond two years is possible
but cannot be assured.
