On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is our pleasure to invite you to the 8th European Palaeobotany - Palynology Conference to be held in Budapest, the capital of Hungary from 6 to 10 July 2010.

We would like to remind those interested in our conference that the  deadline for abstract submission is 15 March 2010. Abstracts may be submitted either to symposia, or to the main topic areas.

We are pleased to announce that 34  symposium proposals have been submitted for the conference focusing on various research fields, e.g. -

--- Morphology and phylogeny of extinct and extant Gnetophytes; 
--- Wood in a changing world; 
--- Palynology: pollen databases; 
--- Ancient plant DNA - a new research frontier in palaeobotany?
--- Pollen Plus! Multidisciplinary records of environmental change over the last 1000 years;
--- Human landscapes and and climate change during the Holocene
--- Plant resins, climate and environments
--- The importance of electron microscopy for paleopalynology;
