Just my attempt at wry humour in a series of interwoven threads that 
have seen us agonising over the right of free speech of "Calodema" and 
similar, while glibly dismissing taxa published in the leading science 
journals of our day as unpublished, due to their failure to conform to a 
procedural rule that is increasingly out of step with the reality of the 
21st century.

Don't get me wrong, both concerns about fairness and freedom as well as 
those about the preservation and archiving of electronic material are of 
great importance, and I do not belittle them in any way. However, to an 
uninitiated non-taxonomist looking in from the outside, it's not going 
to look all that good... especially since we have been having the same 
discussions for a good few years, and seem no closer to a consensus on 
any of the issues.
