[Taxacom] 3-letter family acronyms

I recently proposed additional 3-letter family acronyms for vascular
plants, see:

Prompted by the recent publication in Bot. J. Linnean Society (Vol. 161)
of some papers regarding the proposed new APG III, some colleagues
contacted me about additional families for which acronyms have not been
proposed: Anacampserotaceae [in press], Boweniaceae, Gerrardinaceae,
Maundiaceae, Montiaceae (not to be confused with Montiniaceae) and
Veronicaceae.  Not all are recognized by APG III.  


Please be in touch if additional acronyms are needed so that an update
can be published soon.  

 

I recommend that future authors of new plant families propose the new
acronyms as well.
