Hi everyone,
I hope you do not mind a bit of a sales pitch, but we
microhymenopterists have been secretly using a superior sweep net that
beats all the rest hands down. There is empirical evidence to show this.
They are manufactured to order in the UK by a small business. This time
the manufacturer has made a few more than were ordered so he can deliver
immediately to anyone who might be interested. They are fairly
expensive, but looked after properly they really will last a life time
(mine has lasted 30 years to date and is very heavily used). They are
based on the design of the original net (see Noyes, 1982. J. Nat. Hist.
13:315-317 or the web site below), but have an adaptation to allow for a
detachable screen that can be used to screen out debris, etc.
This message is not sent out for any sort of financial gain, merely
trying to spread the word that there are some nets available immediately
for those that might want them.
Please contact me direct if you are interested.
