[Taxacom] Mystery plant ID - Any help?

Hello all,
Two unknown species;  one tree/shrub the other herbaceous.  No glandular 
tissue at base of leaves on the first - the second plant is the last 
image on the page.  Both in Baton Rouge, La.  area. 
Any help is greatly appreciated!
