[Taxacom] Media hype over Darwinius (new Adapoid primate fossil)

In a way, this
(http://www.plosone.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pone.0005723 )is a
missed chance for promoting Zoobank. There is no LSID for the species from
Zoobank - even though PloSOne was involved in a big controversy about
electronic publication when Fisher et al paper on Anochetus appeared
(http://www.plosone.org/article/info:doi/10.1371/journal.pone.0001787) .
In fact, there is no indication that there is a printed or other version
that follows ICZN arcticle 8.6. And thus, from a nomenclatorial point of
view, this taxon does not exist, i.e. the name is not available.
May be I didn't read the paper well enough, but after all the discussion
PLoS One ought to be well aware of this problem?!

Most scientists (I will include myself) want to receive attention for their
discoveries or insights. These people have been very successful in that
endeavor, regardless of what one may argue about the merits, so I applaud
their ability. Wish I had some of that.
