Temporary Research Assistant in Botany

The Department of Botany at the Academy of Natural Sciences in
Philadelphia seeks a
temporary, full-time research assistant to build a database of plant
specimens from the New
Jersey Pine Barrens. Responsibilities will include curating, imaging,
databasing, and geo-
referencing specimens from the herbarium.
Required
Enrollment in or completion of a bachelor’s degree program in biology
or related field or
equivalent professional experience.
Interest in plants.
Desired
Experience with herbarium specimens.
Experience with digital photography.
Experience with computer databases.
Salary range
$10-11/hour depending on experience.
Start Date
Position is available immediately; start date should be no later than
June 1.
Duration
This is a 3 month full-time position.
