REPRINT COLLECTION
The L.H. Bailey Hortorium is offering an extensive botanical reprint
collection of items dating from approximately 1850 to the present that is
no longer needed because of consolidation of two different overlapping
reprint collections (BH and James L. Reveal) and because many of the items
are duplicated elsewhere on the Cornell campus. We prefer to keep the
collection intact, and are offering it to a recognized botanical
institution for the cost of shipping and handling. There are approximately
40,000 items with about two-thirds relating to systematic botany. The vast
majority are original reprints with many signed by one or more authors;
some are xerox copies. The collection does not include preprints, works on
Arecaceae (palms), select items of some additional families, reprints of
historical interest to Cornell or the Hortorium, or any significant works
on fungi. The reprints are arranged either by family or by author.
Interested parties should contact Dr. Kevin C. Nixon at kcn2 at cornell.edu
