Jim,
The only problem with the (excellent) virtual herbarium site is that there are no names - unless you know exactly what species you are looking for it's not made at all clear that you need to use the site in conjunction with another site, the (excellent) Australian plant names site, with all the synonymy etc. I asked several Australian botanists how the system worked (they didn't know) before I figured it out. If you go in through the ANBG site it's all obvious, so that's the address I plan on citing!

Virtual Herbarium', a collaborative project of theCouncil of Heads of
Australasian Herbaria (CHAH).
