Full marks for tact.  She could have remarked how they are so
very small.

Stylus and digipad remain expensive and rather inferior tools
for freehand drawing, especially now that high resolution
scanners and digital cameras are so inexpensive.   For line
art that is not freehand (eg, diagrams), my tool of choice is
diagramming software that involves writing commands to draw
shapes and lines and place text exactly where you want it.
