[Taxacom] "Protista"

the problem remains that the old "Protista" might be splittable into  
some obviously monophyletic groups, plus probably a paraphyletic  
residue. If the animals, plants & fungi clearly belong to one or more  
of the clearly monophyletic lineages, then "something has gotta give",  
in terms of the traditional 4 kingdoms of eukaryotes! "Protista" will  
have suffered the same fate as "Pisces", "Reptilia", and other former  
taxa. Continuing to use Protista as a taxon in this scenario is a very  
different issue to tolerating paraphyletic residues...
