MAJOR DUTIES: 

This position is located in the Systematic Mycology and Microbiology
Laboratory of the Plant Sciences Institute located in Beltsville,
Maryland. The incumbent is responsible for managing the U.S. National
Fungus Collections and will include such duties as: accessioning and
upgrading specimens and managing loans. In addition, the incumbent is
responsible for web site and data base maintenance such as: testing
newly developed data entry forms, correcting data and investigating web
site errors, managing the data entry personnel including checking their
work electronically, and performing specialized queries. The ideal
candidate will have considerable training and experience in database
management.
