Dear colleagues,
We encourage submissions of abstracts (deadline 28 february 2009) for the:
International Conference on Polyploidy, Hybridization and Biodiversity
ICPHB2009 that will take place at the Palais du Grand Large, Saint-Malo
(France) on 17-20 may 2009.
The recent years have seen significant advances in understanding the
consequences of reticulate evolution and genome duplication that appear a
major feature of eukaryotic lineages. The meeting aims at promoting
knowledge exchanges and discussions on the latest developments concerning
these major drivers of genome shaping and speciation. A wide range of
topics will be covered such as the consequences of polyploidy on
biodiversity, hybrid and polyploid speciation, meiosis and fertility in
polyploid species, genome evolution and structure, transposable elements
and DNA methylation, epigenetics and gene regulation, heterosis, phenotypic
variation ...
Registration is open at http://www.icphb2009.univ-rennes1.fr/ , oral and /
or poster contributions are welcome.
Saint-Malo is a beautiful and well-known medieval city on the NW coast of
France (Brittany region). It is visited by thousands of tourists every year
