Dear colleagues,
I'm trying to find the natural distribution of two species.
Fragaria chiloensis (Rosaceae). Wagner et al. (1990. Man. Fl. Plts. Hawaii) list it from the Hawaiian Islands, Alaska to California; Juan Fernandez, and central Chile/adjacent Argentina. GBIF ( http://data.gbif.org) adds records from Honduras/Nicaragua; Ecuador/Peru (and Europe, presumably introduced) are these correct?
Pilea peploides (Urticaceae). Wagner et al. 1990 list it from the Hawaiian Islands, Galapagos, and northern South America. GBIF (http://data.gbif.org) also has records from Japan, Taiwan, Sulawesi - are these all introduced?
Thanks,
