[Taxacom] POL system for a Leitz TS Widefield Stereo Microscope?

If you can't find one, try something simpler:

(1) Get two small pieces of polarizing plastic. (I've used discarded sunglasses.)
(2) Fix one piece in front of a one-globe microscope lamp. (I've used a set of interlocking clothespegs to hold the plastic a bit away from the lamp.)
(3) Mount the other piece just on front of the microscope objective, in such a way that it can be freely rotated. (Clothespegs again...)

Cost: near zero. This worked a treat for me to cut down the glary reflection from waxy epicuticle.
