In this case (author not mentioned on the title page, author not 
spelled out in the work), use a preferred spelling.

German interlibrary systems have adopted Gorjanovic-Kramberger as 
the "preferred" spelling for this author.

This is a web interface of the database that translates "person names 
file", provided by the German National Library, the official source 
for all German libraries. Library of Congress also has such a file, 
different from the German file, but as far as we (BHL) know without 
web interface, at least not with z3950 interface that could be used.

Cool. Bouchet & Rocroi 2005: 326 spell it the other way round.
