Yes, the English Wikipedia uses its own single 'bizarre classification' for
Aristolochiaceae, but this is a matter of deliberate choice by the users.

Going by the basic policies, guidelines or technical possibilities of the
Wikipedia project, the two constraints you put forward do not exist.
Basically, the English Wikipedia is free to adopt any of a number of 
different strategies in this matter.
