[Taxacom] FW: Save the Utrecht Herbarium (U)

The situation with closing or underfunding herbaria is alarming!

Apparently we are not doing enough, or being effective at educating our
institutional administrators of the importance of biodiversity
collections to sustainability. Our university, for example, is selling
itself as a "green campus" and leader in sustainability (with lots of
support funds) yet at the same time is refusing to adequately fund our
herbarium and other biodiversity collections.

Other than to keep talking, anybody have any great ideas or solutions
out there? I am pretty frustrated!

Worldwide the biodiversity knowledge centers are under pleasure and
before we know a lot of this knowledge will be gone.
Please take note of the message below and sign the partition.
