If you're interested in actually recording data to define and compare the 
taxa, you could try the DELTA software. You can use the data to carry out 
phenetic and cladistic analyses, and to find out how well the taxa are 
separable for identification. You can also record alternative 
classifications - see, for example, The Families of Flowering Plants 
(http://delta-intkey.com/angio/), and, in particular, Notes on the APG 
Classification (http://delta-intkey.com/angio/www/APG.htm), which 
illustrates the use of Intkey to compare classifications recorded in the data.
