[Taxacom] Fixing Crippled PDFs

Some of us have been disappointed with the quality of the PDFs we have
received from publishers for use as reprints. These are usually
explained as suitable for Web presentation, but they print poorly, with
a fuzzy typeface.
 
An article on the Web indicated that one can make decent print copies of
such crippled PDFs using GSView and Ghostscript. I found that the
convert utility of this software combo can also create high resolution
PDFs from crippled ones.
